McVeigh Insulations doubles capacity

HYDE: Building materials manufacturer McVeigh Insulations is doubling capacity after one of its strongest-ever starts to a calendar year.

Director Jim McVeigh attributes the success to growing acceptance of its innovative products, large insulated composite panels that slot together to form the exterior walls and roofs, and the company's reputation for reliability.

He said: "More architects and contractors are turning to us, and then repeating their involvement with us on the back of that initial experience."

The £8m turnover family firm has a full order book and has bought £20 000 of equipment and expanded its workforce from 10 to 14 to work on projects, including the Hope Academy in Newton-le-Willows.
