LANCASHIRE: The arsonist imprisoned for setting fire to Darwen Building and Timber Supplies is in the news again for using Facebook to boast about getting drunk while behind bars.

Brendan Rawsthorn, 25, from Blackburn, Lancashire, used a smuggled mobile phone to brag about playing computer games and putting his "feet up" all day.

Under the profile name, Brendan Blows, he posted photos of himself inside his cell at HMP Wolds, near Hull, East Yorkshire.

Rawsthorn was jailed up in 2006 after starting a fire at Darwen Building and Timber Supplies in Queen Street, which caused £200 000 of damage including gutting several trucks.

Rawsthorn was given an indeterminate sentence for public protection on 24 November 2006 for offences of arson, criminal damage, and assault.
