LONDON: ATAG, the premium built-in Dutch appliance brand has announced that the company will be operating from a new London location with immediate effect.
ATAG has moved all UK operations from the Netherlands to offices in London to provide a greater level of support for retail customers and to further the development of the brand in the UK. The new operation will handle all administration, back office sales activities, day to day enquiries and brochures.
“This is a great step forward for the brand, and even with modern-day communication systems there is nothing like having your own office. This will make it genuinely easier for all our customers and will enable us to provide more in-depth support going forwards,” remarks Graham Gleave, national sales manager, ATAG UK.
Mr Gleave continues: “We do urge and advise retailers to ensure they have all the right contact and account details, which we have recently mailed out, so they may take advantage of the new products that are about to come to market. We have some spectacular new appliances including double ovens that fit a 600mm dimension, new induction hobs, gas hobs with evolutionary technology plus new and big capacity eco-friendly dishwashers, side-by-side refrigeration, and new designs for the Compact and Max-Series ovens.”
A consequence of the new move Bill Miller is now responsible for the sales and marketing activities for both the ATAG and Gorenje brands in the UK market.
Bill Miller, sales and marketing director remarks: “Following the merger of ATAG and Gorenje in June 2008 has afforded valuable opportunities for the brands across Europe, with genuine synergy between the brands. The combination of outstanding in-house manufacturing expertise, unifying with ATAG’s substantial factory independent manufacturing knowledge and success has added flexibility and strength to the group and is an excellent strong platform to deliver the planned growth and expansion of both brands in the UK. My new remit is part of the reorganisation and strategy.”
Mr Miller continues: “Our ‘exclusive to the kitchen specialist’ strategy, and subsequent plans to build ATAG UK as a brand and business around the Kitchen Specialist channel remains unchanged. The ATAG difference goes far beyond product, as we aim to sell ATAG products exclusively through highly trained and qualified kitchen specialists and designers only. All kitchen specialists can be reassured that they have our full commitment, and are secure in the knowledge that consumers require the expertise of highly qualified kitchen design and installation professionals that can create unique kitchen concepts to encompass our products. Business, as they say, is as usual!”
