Arson suspected at Lewis BM

MIDDLETON: Arson is suspected after a large blaze at Lewis Builders' Merchants on Mills Hill Road early Monday morning. 

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters worked extremely hard to extinguish the blaze. The fire was quickly brought under control, however, there was extensive fire and smoke damage to the two storey building."The cause of the fire is thought to be suspicious and police and fire scene investigators will investigate.

Twenty fire-fighters battled a large blaze with fire crews from Blackley, Chadderton, Oldham, and Broughton at the fire.
