PTS publishes scrappage FAQs for installers

LEICESTERSHIRE: With less than a week to go before the boiler scrappage scheme goes live, national merchant PTS has reacted to a constant stream of installers coming to its nationwide branches asking for information by developing a dedicated leaflet.
PTS has produced the leaflet to answer typical questions such as:
When will the boiler scrappage scheme be introduced?
What is needed to apply to the scheme?
Do renewable energy sources qualify?
Does the scheme link in with any other grants?
Kelvin Stevens, managing director of PTS, said: "Many installers still don't know the details of the boiler scrappage scheme, how it will operate and how the £400 can be claimed. Our fear is that installers, who will be central to the success of this scheme, will be put off by concerns about how the scheme works and the potential for large amounts of paperwork in order to access the funding."
"Our new leaflet will inform installers about the boiler scrappage scheme so they can advise their own customers on how to claim their £400. Installers can also find information on the PTS website."
