Published:  20 January, 2010

LONDON: Energy efficiency is a critical issue for businesses. Schneider Electric's series of events highlights the ways to understand the issues.

Throughout 2009, the company held a series of events in Edinburgh, followed by Birmingham then Bristol, which saw hundreds of contractors, energy managers, consultants, architects and distributors, as well as representatives from local and health authorities, meet with Schneider Electric's energy management specialists for advice and information.

Each event included a programme of seminars focusing on the four steps to energy efficiency, solutions to support an electrical infrastructure including Integrated Installation Solutions and key legislation such as the Carbon Reduction Commitment, which impacts on UK businesses.

Stephen Coop, managing director of Schneider Electric UK explained: "We believe there is still a substantial amount of work to be done educating the market and we certainly intend to continue to help all businesses, contractors and consultants, with further Tackling Energy events planned throughout 2010."
