Dunlop Adhesives appoints brand development manager

STOKE-ON-TRENT: Manufacturer of tile adhesives, grouts and finishing products, Dunlop Adhesives has appointed Jason Smith as brand development manager.
From 1st February, the role will allow Mr Smith to manage and develop the presence of the brand within the merchant sector and position him as the main contact for all Dunlop Adhesives sales enquiries.
Debi Bailey, brand manager for Dunlop Adhesives explained: "Over recent years our purpose has been to position the Dunlop Adhesives tiling products range within the builders' merchants sector for end use by the non-professional tiler in the building trade. With our feet very much in the door, it is now vital to increase our sales support at branch level. Through his deep understanding of the brand and its selling points, Jason will head this up along with the support of Building Adhesives' regional sales teams in a bid to develop brand presence."
Mr Smith has a real affinity with the Dunlop brand as he started working with the original Dunlop Adhesives back in 1995 when it was manufactured at Chester Road, Birmingham. He has stuck with the brand through its transitions over the years and most recently, Mr Smith worked as the regional sales manager south for both the Dunlop Adhesives and BAL brands under Building Adhesives Limited.
Now he will fully dedicate his time to Dunlop Adhesives. He commented: "I've worked with Dunlop Adhesives for 15 years and in that time maintained relationships with customers who have continued to stock the brand. With such brand loyalty and with a great deal of stockist support from the sales and marketing team, there is no reason why Dunlop Adhesives can't further develop itself as a premium brand within the merchants sector. That is our ultimate objective."
