Red hot race day for Leyland winners

Published:  16 December, 2009

BATLEY: After setting the industry alight with its high-octane ‘Mad About Colour!’ campaign, trade paint brand Leyland recently gave two race goers a taste of life in the fast lane thanks to its unique partnership with British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) and Porsche Carrera Cup GB team Motorbase Performance.

Henry Morgan and Richard Shaw each got their hands on a once in a lifetime opportunity to undertake a series of exhilarating laps around the Brands Hatch circuit under the guidance of professional Motorbase Performance drivers Michael Caine and Jonny Adam.

Mr Shaw said: “I’ve never had a day like it! I’d really like to thank Leyland for such a fantastic opportunity. Not many people get the chance to have one-to-one tuition like that from professionals - it was absolutely brilliant. Even the rain added to our fun!”

The lucky duo were selected from the hundreds that entered Leyland’s exclusive competition on the final weekend of the BTCC season at Brands Hatch in which they were tasked with picking their favourite Leyland colour – a difficult choice as six of the creative colours were represented by one of the Leyland Lovelies.
