PTS launches a surefire hit

LUTTERWORTH: PTS has launched a software package dedicated to plumbers and installers called sureFIRE. Initially being rolled out to the merchant's customers in the South of England, it promises to make installers lives' easier, while helping them manage their cashflow. This software will be rolled out nationally later in the year.
PTS has been working on the sureFIRE installer package for the past two years. It has been exclusively developed by an installer.
sureFIRE users are given instant access to gas safety records and customer service histories. They can access quotations and order directly from PTS, monitor van stock and timesheets and improve cashflow by offering credit card payments – all through an exclusive PDA phone.

Alan Ball, managing director of PTS, said: "sureFIRE has been trialled by a selection of customers and feedback has been incredibly positive. Testers particularly liked the direct ordering and delivery function, as well as the interactive calendar. It provides details of the next job and even texts homeowners to notify them that the installer is on their way."
