LEICESTERSHIRE: Ibstock once again dominated the Brick Development Association Awards, taking home more trophies than any other brick maker, including the Supreme Winner Award 2009 for the Guildford Education Campus in Surrey.

The awards recognise excellence in design and construction using brick and, after being shortlisted in 13 categories for 46 different projects, Ibstock was presented with a total of nine awards.

Andrew Halstead-Smith, marketing manager at Ibstock, commented: "Last year's BDA Brick Awards were a huge success for Ibstock and we set the bar very high for 2009, but I am happy to say that we've done even better this year.

Ibstock projects also won Best Educational Building, Best International Project, Best Public Building, Best Innovative Use of Clay and Brick Products, Refurbishment – Geoff Flower Memorial Award, Volume Housebuilding and Specialist Brickwork Contractor of the Year.
