Big Tour sell-out

LANCASHIRE: BCG's Big Tour 3 smashed its previous record for attendance, with over 1400 independent retailers and merchants attending at least one of its five regional locations - Bristol, Birmingham, Twickenham, Glasgow and Manchester.

Conducted over a total of five days, Julie Butcher, BCG's marketing manager and organiser of the event, said: "We couldn't believe how many new customers came along or the number of existing customers that turned up to view new and existing product lines being showcased by 40 of our top manufacturers.

Chris Honer, BCG's managing director commented: "It was important for us to raise the profile of BCG and Big Tour 3 and the feedback from both customers and suppliers has been tremendous."

BCG's launch of Airmiles saw 400 customers sign up for the scheme which will take off from 1 January 2010.

A larger and higher profile Big Tour 2010 and a number of highly product campaigns are planned for next year by the company.
