Online RMI booms for Christmas

Published:  19 November, 2009

RIPON: Online retailer, UK Bathrooms, reported record sales this October, three times higher than 2008.

The company said: "This is exceptional, as we are in the run-up to Christmas where generally most people would be more inclined to spend money on presents. We are bucking the trend of other high street retailers who are struggling this financial year as internet shopping increases 24% on last year."

Most DIY business report increased profits, but bathroom retailers are claiming better than average performance.

UK Bathrooms said: "For most, bathroom remodelling is like renovating a kitchen. It is also key when increasing the resale value of a home and can give a home a much needed facelift."
