LONDON: Shower manufacturer Roman was the recipient of the KBB Readers' Design Award for 2009. The Roman Shield Wetroom System came out top as the favourite product of the year, voted for and by consumers from the pages of Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms Magazine. The company's team attended the KBB Review Industry Awards this week at the ExCel Centre in London.
The KBB Readers' Award was presented to Roman's managing director, David Osborne by KBB's editor Jackie Daley and comedian, Marcus Brigstocke.
Competition this year was tougher than previous years, with a record level of entries across 17 categories, which included the new Readers' Design Award.
The winning Roman Shield Wetroom System includes everything required to tank a wetroom in one kit, including primer, tanking tape, tanking compound, outlet sleeve for the drain and a step-by-step guide to installation.
"This award demonstrates just how hard our design team have worked to produce a product that dramatically benefits our consumers and installers," said Mr Osborne. "We will continue to invest in the research and development of new products that continue to deliver excellent standards to our customers."
