Matt Benyon: showroom ideas at ExCel.

easyFairs retail comes to the UK

Published:  27 October, 2009

TWICKENHAM: Exhibition organiser, easyFairs, has announced the launch of a London retail show on 5-6 May 2010 at the ExCel Centre in London.

Focusing on shopfittings, display systems, technology and visual merchandising, the event will appeal to shopfitting controllers, visual merchandisers, and merchants with showrooms.

The show is co-located with easyFairs Interior Fit-Out 2010 - the event dedicated to commercial interior refurbishment, which recorded an 18% jump in visitor numbers this year. Both events will run alongside Grand Designs LIVE.

Said Matt Benyon, managing director of easyFairs UK: "We all know there is going to be an upturn. When it comes retailers will be looking to revamp and refresh their stores. Our show is a low-cost, no-risk way for all those involved in shopfitting and display to grasp that sales opportunity.

"The easyFairs show model is a fixed 'all in' budget with no hidden expenses or last-minute surprises."

Lawrence Cutler, director of the Shop & Display Equipment Association (sdea), which is supporting the event, said: "We looked at several shows and this one is perfect for our members. It will reach exactly the right people, it won't cost a fortune to exhibit at and it is being run by a team of professionals who have illustrated their absolute determination to succeed."

In addition to showcasing exhibitors, easyFairs Retail 2010 will also feature learnShop seminars and 'Lions Lair' – a Dragons' Den-style contest where exhibitors can put their new retail innovations to a panel of judges.
