Wickes to change Telford site

Published:  27 October, 2009

TELFORD: Wickes is to move its Telford depot to a new site on an industrial estate.

Developers Liberty Mercian lodged a planning application for the former Snedshill Trading Estate which has been derelict since a fire in July 2007.

Supermarket chain Aldi is also expected to open on the site.

Liberty Mercian director Chris Towers said he hoped building work would start in the New Year if Telford and Wrekin Council grant planning permission.
