Whirlpool training centre opens in Croydon

SURREY: Whirlpool UK's launch of 'ATHOME', the company's training centre based at the group's headquarters in Croydon, incorporates all four of the company's brands in a multi-functional display and presentation area.

Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag and Whirlpool brands are displayed in their own areas. Appliances are integrated, built-in or freestanding.

The 'ATHOME' concept has been has one that we have wanted to create for a while, and it has been timed with the launch of many new products and ranges across the brands this year," said Ian Railton, Whirlpool UK's managing director.

"We are now in a position to offer our trade partners the very best in training and showroom facilities. It is here and ready for use whenever convenient."

Ray Isted, the company's head of training said: "This site is designed to be one of the best training facilities in the major domestic appliance industry. Open to all the Whirlpool group's trade partners, this is a one-stop centre where visitors can review all of our brands and appliances as they wish."
