Timber firm shows benefits of quick-build systems

Published:  16 October, 2009

GLASGOW: Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems hosted a live installation demonstration recently, showing builders and developers from across Scotland how to make homes wind and watertight in one day.

The demonstration took place at Mactaggart & Mickel's Marr Meadows development in Barassie, Troon, and provided visitors with the opportunity to see the company's team installing a closed-panel system in a matter of hours. The event included a preview of the company's bathroom pod.

The inaugural event was attended by housing associations, registered social landlords, architects, building contractors, self-builders and developers.

The company's team answered questions and offered professional and bespoke advice and assistance throughout the day.

Mactaggart & Mickel's commercial manager, Ross Mickel, said: "Not only did this demonstration allow people to see the capabilities and benefits of our closed panel systems in operation, but guests were able to share experiences with our highly skilled team and form relationships with potential partners for the future."
